Design and Art between Autonomy and Intervention

o what extent are status, potentials and functions of art and design currently changing? How are materials, media and topics intertwined when it comes to realizing these changes? How can artists and designers take a stand, how can they participate? Is the aesthetic autonomy of art and design under threat or are new possibilities for situating it emerging? How do current challenges affect the differences and similarities of art and design?

I presented my current research on the politics of style in design at the Taking Sides symposium at the University of applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
